I.T. Hardware Recycling
Alpha Omega Computers
are specialists in reconfiguring and recycling second user hardware. Where possible Alpha Omega Computers will advise on how a client can recycle existing I.T. hardware giving potential budgetary advantages as well as reducing the environmental impact of running an I.T. system.
In 2007 Alpha Omega Computers assisted the Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust to achieve the Doncaster Chamber Environmental Responsibility Award.

Where it is impossible or impractical to redeploy existing hardware for reuse, then Alpha Omega Computers maintains compliance with data protection and WEEE regulations by partnering with Revive IT for responsible disposal of unusable hardware, maximum recycling of components and minimum environmental impact.
Purchasing
All stationery is recycled within the limits of available technology.
When recommending hardware for our clients we will specify a recycled option where possible.
Energy and water saving and waste reduction
We keep energy use low by turning off all electrical equipment and lighting when not in use (with the exception of relevant mission critical server hosting facilities).
All lighting in general office areas is activated via movement sensor switches.
Re-use rather than dispose of resources whenever possible and continue a strict recycle policy. 'Scrap' hardware is sent to a specialist recycling company to ensure maximum recovery of reusable parts.
Alpha Omega Computers specialise in rolling out terminal service environments and data migration. Terminal services can have a positive direct impact on a client’s energy consumption.
Alpha Omega Computers will always advise LCD monitors for reduced energy consumption purposes.
Travel
Business travel is kept to a minimum.
Most business communication is possible via phone or email negating the need for excessive travel.
Where possible client systems are accessed remotely, avoiding the need for travel to client premises.
